Paw Paw Lake is located directly across the street from the property. While Herons Nest is not a waterfront property, guests can access the lake through a narrow public fire lane across the road.
Please note that there is no private beach, dock, or designated lounging area at the lake access point. If you’re looking to spend the day swimming or relaxing on the beach, several public access areas are just a short drive away.

First I will say communication was just fine. We rented all 6 houses. Three of them had a bad smell to them. Our smoke detector went off at 4 am and he did have someone come look at it, but it was never replaced for our stay. Our air conditioner leaked all over the couch and we had to move it and lost a ton of space. The pictures of the outside is NOT what it looks like. The volleyball net was in a mud pit and crappy. Pickleball was growing weeds all over it. We couldn’t sit on any of the outside furniture because it was filthy. Bring your own chairs for sure. A pillow in another cabin was wet. Water was leaking in the UP cabin in the walkway. Lake access isn’t what we thought it was. Had to drag all our stuff to another location to swim. So overall, wouldn’t stay there again. Have been staying on different lakes for years and this is by far the worst. Again, communication was about the only good thing.
The cabins were adorable, it was clear a lot of work has gone into them. Highly reccomend
